Coming this Fall
Dr Mikao Usui (1865-1926) was a Zen Buddhist monk who after his awakening shared his knowledge of esoteric energy healing with the world. His practice grew and eventually Reiki was introduced out of Japan via Hawaii in 1937 by his successor Hawayo Takata Sensei. Reiki is passed on from one person to another through teaching, initiation, and practice. The Japanese word Reiki can be translated as "universal life energy" and the Usui System is a way of working with this energy for healing of self and others. The word "healing" is used in the sense of regaining balance and harmony. Reiki as a Japanese healing modality addresses a person as a whole on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
Although Reiki is popularly known as a hands on healing method few know about the extraordinary roots from which this practice is derived. The spirituality of Reiki is born from Shinto and Zen Buddhist concepts about the world and how to find your way back home, that is to your own inner light. In this course we will explore together the traditional healing method as taught by Dr Mikao Usui and how you can start practicing it on yourself and family. We will also study Eastern wisdom from the Shinto and Zen perspective and see how to incorporate this spiritual path in our daily life.
To achieve this course you must buy a Leuchtturm1917 medium "Dotted" hardcover notebook ( AKA the Bullet Journal). You will not be able to accomplish the program without buying and keeping a journal. You can buy one HERE.
