Description
Aje Funfun is a Yoruba term that refers to a benevolent or protective spirit, often associated with ancestral spirits or deities. They are believed to bring good fortune and protection to individuals and communities. They are called “aje olomon tabi Aje alabiyamo” which means “witches who protect their children”. Aje Funfun do not kill, do not drink blood, or eat flesh. They use their energy to bring protection, blessings, and prosperity to whomever they love. They bring knowledge, power, blessings, and protection to their devotees. If someone incurs their wrath they have the power to punish, but they quickly forgive anybody who offends them immediately when they are appeased. The Aje Funfun is an Iyami focused community and our patron is the Divine Mother Oshun, leader of the primordial mothers.
The Aje Iyami are the primordial mothers. That means all the female divinities. Oshun, Yemoja, Oya, Anaisa Pye, Mami Wata, Hecate, The Virgin Mary, Santisima, Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, and all the Shakti energy contained in the Universe. In Yoruba the name for the womb of creation is Odu. This server is a temple dedicated to the Divine Feminine.
